Aloha! Welcome to the
Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization's Official Oahu Regional
Transportation Plan Site
The Oahu Regional
Transportation Plan (ORTP) is the official guide for the development of
the major surface transportation facilities and programs to be
implemented on Oahu. It is a long-term vision document that outlines
transportation goals, objectives, and policies for Oahu. The plan
identifies short-range and long-range strategies and actions that are
designed to promote the development of an integrated intermodal
transportation system that facilitates the safe, efficient, and economic
movement of people and goods.
Every
five years, the Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization (OahuMPO) revises
the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). The last updated plan was adopted
by the OahuMPO in April, 2006, and development of the next Oahu Regional Transportation Plan 2035
is expected to start in 2009.
