As part of the Mobility Hubs Planning Study, OahuMPO Senior Transportation Planner Samantha Lara and Assistant Transportation Planner Victoria Trevino conducted community outreach at Sunset Beach Elementary in Haleiwa with a class of second graders on Tuesday, March 11th.
This outreach aimed to educate students about mobility hubs and transportation while gathering their input on the amenities they would like to see in a future Haleiwa mobility hub.
During the activity, students reviewed a list of potential amenities and placed stars next to the three they would most like to have in their community. The results of this activity are summarized in the table below and will be incorporated into the final Haleiwa and Urban Honolulu Mobility Hubs Planning Study report and recommendations.
