The 2023 Hawaii Commute Challenge has come to a close! The Challenge was scheduled to run for the month of August and had 325 participants. Local vendors including Moku, Boca Hawaii, Hawaiian Host, HiClimb, Morning Brew Kakaako, Paiko Botanicals, and Uloha offered various discounts via punch card to participants throughout the challenge. Weekly challenges were marketed to the participants in efforts to get people to try various modes of transportation. Each week, both an individual and a team were identified as winners based on their points for that specific week’s challenge. A weekly prize was also given to a participant who posted on social media about their commute. We hope this was a community event that you all enjoyed and would like to see again next year!
Join Blue Planet, Oahu MPO, and fellow participants to celebrate the 2023 Hawaii Commute Challenge! Enjoy food from Moku Kitchen, live entertainment, and opportunities to connect with clean transportation organizations and resources in your community. We will also be announcing the overall Commute Challenge winners and giving out prizes!
The celebration event will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at SALT at Kakaako Barn.
